Last stop for Pilgrims

Aberdaron, perched on the end of the Llyn Peninsula in Gwynedd, North Wales, is a seaside resort which is increasingly being discovered by tourists on holidays in Wales. But in medieval times it was frequented by another kind of visitor.
Situated where the B4413 comes to a sudden end before the motorist drives into the sea, the former fishing village was the last stop for pilgrims on their way to the holy island of Bardsey, sitting offshore on the northern tip of Cardigan Bay.
